Hello there! My name is Jiejun Hu-Bolz (胡洁珺). I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) and departmental Research Lead at the Lancaster University Leipzig. I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Humans and Machines, Max-Planck Institute for Human Development, Germany, and the University of Essex, UK. My research focuses on incentive mechanisms design and game theory in multi-agent systems, such as the Internet of Things, Mobile CrowdSensing, software-defined networks, blockchain, and digital contact tracing systems. I adopt economic methodologies in resource optimization and data pricing strategy in the computer science sphere.
If you are looking for a visiting scholar or PhD position on a topic related to my research interests, please send your CV to j DOT hu14 AT lancaster DOT ac DOT uk.
News: I will be joining University College Dublin from Sep 2026 as an Assistant Professor!
I am recruiting PhD students. I welcome applications from motivated candidates across computer science, with a particular focus on multi-agent systems and game theory. I am looking for students with a solid background in computer science, mathematics, or a related quantitative field, strong programming or analytical skills, and the drive to pursue independent research. Experience with reinforcement learning, game theory, or agent-based modelling is an advantage but not essential.
